What do blood tests actually cost in Kanpur?

Do you have to buy a package to get one test?
No. A single fasting sugar at ₹60 is booked exactly the way a ₹3,099 panel is, and nobody at the counter will try to talk you up from one to the other. Packages exist because they are genuinely cheaper when you want all the lines inside them — not as a toll gate in front of the one test your doctor asked for.
When a panel does make sense, the arithmetic is public. Complete Health is ₹1,299 for 21 tests; the same billable lines ordered one by one come to ₹3,930. That gap is the only argument a panel needs.
Why do two labs quote different numbers for the same test?
Usually because they are not quoting the same thing. A rate can be for the analyte alone or for the bundle a lab actually bills — an LFT Extended at ₹1,000 covers six lines, and comparing it against a single enzyme elsewhere is not a comparison. Add to that whether the collection fee sits inside the quote or beside it, and whether anyone explains the report afterwards, and two numbers that looked far apart often are not.
So compare three things, not one: what is inside the test, what is charged on top of it, and what you are handed at the end. The first is on the price list, the second we tell you before we come, and the third is the part most labs never mention at all.
How much is home collection?
It is charged separately, and the fee varies by area of Kanpur. We say that plainly because we charge for home collection separately rather than folding it into the test rate, so the number you see is the number you pay. Ours is a line you can see. The report is where the price stops earning, unless something happens after it. When does a yearly card beat paying per test?
When you are testing more than once. The Apoorv Card is ₹8,099 a year — about ₹22 a day — and it is aimed at people who retest a marker every ninety days rather than once and never again. If you book a CBC once a year and nothing else, the card is not for you, and we will say so.
What should you do next?
Food. Only two tests on this list care what you ate: the fasting sugar and the lipid profile, both wanting 8 to 12 hours with nothing but plain water. Chai with milk breaks it; water does not. Never skip a prescribed medicine to fast — tell us the timings and we will work around them.
Movement. Come by the slot that fits your day rather than the one that costs you a walk you would otherwise have taken. Nothing on this list is affected by ordinary walking, and an early appointment you keep beats a perfect one you miss.
Habits. Photograph the price you were quoted and keep it with the report; a year later it is the only way to compare like with like. Book the retest on the interval your doctor set, not the one an offer suggests. And bring the last report with you — a number read beside its own history says more than a number read alone.
